The Village of Ottawa has a Council vacancy and will be accepting letters of interest for the position until 4:30 p.m., September 27, 2023 at the Village of Ottawa, Clerk-Treasurer's Office, 136 N. Oak Street, Ottawa, Ohio 45875. Candidates shall have been a resident and qualified elector of the Village of Ottawa for a two-year period. Potential candidates should be prepared to interview at the Village of Ottawa Council meeting on September 27th at 5:00 p.m. The Village of Ottawa is an EOE.
Utility Operator Job Posting
The Village of Ottawa is hiring for the position of part-time Utility Operator. This is an entry level position intended to introduce the right candidate to the field of water and wastewater treatment with potential to lead to full-time employment.
The successful candidate must be able to:
- Perform wastewater and water treatment functions (training will be provided)
- Perform laboratory functions (training will be provided)
- Maintain personal and professional competence and awareness
- Perform related duties as required
- Obtain lab certification (paid for by the Village)
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. CDL preferred, but not required. Resumes will be accepted until the position has been filled. Starting pay for this position is $15.70/hour.
